I was born in Sweden in 1964, but have been living and working in Dublin since 1998.  I feel the beauty of the Irish landscape has truly inspired me, and brought out a long dormant desire to express myself with paint.

Without any formal training I create from spiritual and meditative inspiration, my biggest source of inspiration being nature and the beauty of the land – the sky, the sea, the mountains – all these beautiful miracles that surround us. I also paint from the inner self, trying to convey these feelings into colours. The result is tranquil and calm paintings which I hope will bring a sense of peace to the viewer.

There is also another newer side to my painting. Hugely inspired by the abstract expressionist Jackson Pollock, with home I feel a very special connection, I create funky and modern pieces full of energy and movement. In each piece there is a heart. Sometimes it’s obvious, sometimes you cannot see it, but it’s always there somewhere in the painting. That is why I have named these pieces “Heart One”, “Heart Two” etc.
